Sleigh Bells - A/B Machines + interview

Sleigh Bells is a duo formed by Derek Miller, former member of West Palm Beach’s hardcore band Poison the Well (not really my cup of tea), and Alexis Krauss from a teenage girl band I never heard of called RubyBlue (not my cup of tea?). Somehow, by joining these two elements together you get Sleigh Bells. Dick Dale booty music with blown out bass. It is exciting to listen to and I would imagine also to see live. They have no album or any other kind of official release to speak of as far as I can tell. Just some mp3s floating about in cyberspace. Yet, this year they will be opening for acts like Major Lazer of Diplo and Switch fame, Yeasayer and playing venues like SXSW, Coachella, and the Pitchfork Music Festival. Not bad.
